THE Ready-to-Press (RTP) Powder

RTP powder is our core technology. Unlike conventional PM powder (particle size D: ~80μm), RTP powder utilizes fine powder (D: 5~15μm) and boosts the sintered density above 7.5g/cm3.

HPM Process

The charm of HPM is that it integrates the process of conventional PM and MIM and takes the benefits from both and brings out the strength of RTP powder.

Advantages of HPM

  • High density (HPM>7.5g/cm3, PM<7.2g/cm3)

  • High mechanical strength (>1,800MPA, high toughness, good elongation)

  • Lower cost (MIM>HPM>PM)

  • Lower tooling cost (20~30% of MIM’s)

  • Good dimensional control (±0.3%)

  • Diversity of Material Selections (4140, 17-4PH, SKD11, WNiFe, etc.)

Limits of HPM

  • Not suitable for large components (PM is the solution)

  • Not suitable for 3 dimensional / complex shape components (MIM is the solution)
